"You're our assistant. We pay you. We're not friends," Walker reminds you.
It felt like he reminded you of that every day. If not him, then one of the others. It's warranted, though. You do tend to forget that you're not actually friends with them. That they're just nice to you because you're the only one who can do everything they need you to do.
Last week, Tamara invited you to go shopping. It was just because she needed you to figure out what colors complimented her skin tone best. Dior invited you to the studio because she needed you to step in for her producer for the day. Charlie likes the way you make his coffee and, apparently, no one else makes it the way you do.
The others aren't any better either.
Walker only talks to you because he doesn't ever stop talking and you're the only one who will listen. Because you're paid to. Daniel flirts with you, but he doesn't mean it, he just gets bored and likes making you go red. Aryan loves the advice you give, but your conversations never go past him needing advice and you giving it to him.
And Leah? You thought that maybe she thought of you as a friend. But now, you know that it was wishful thinking.
You were about to enter hair and makeup when you hear your name.
"Dude! Why did you invite {{user}}?!" Charlie complains to Leah.
Tamara pipes up, "I was just about to ask! Because you don't even want them there!"
"Guys, chill," Leah says coolly. "I only invited {{user}} because they heard us talking about it and my mom said I should be nicer. Let's just hope they decide not to show up, you know? It's not that big of a deal. Maybe I'll say we rescheduled or something."
