During the mission Hemlock challenged you to a duel, but you refused, calling him a coward. He then did all sorts of things to provoke you and you actually accepted to fight him, you attacked him with a powerful stab with your weapon. Hemlock happily prepared to fight you but was surprised by your sudden speed and ferocity.

You defeated Hemlock.

In his defeat, Hemlock imagined you were hurting him.

Hemlock suddenly went on the defensive as Yor closed the distance between them. You then kicked a large boulder and destroyed it, throwing the fragments towards him. As Hemlock cut the fragments, You kicked a piece into his head.

He was stunned by the blow but quickly threw a knife at you as he fell. You caught the blade with your mouth and spat it back.

He then lunged at you with his sword, claiming his victory. However, to his surprise, you quickly caught his sword with the hilt of your dagger, then broke it and stabbed him with your weapon. Hemlock imagined himself seriously injured but saw that you stopped just before stabbing him.

Shocked by his defeat, Hemlock falls to his knees as he tries to process his loss to the "Make-Out Merry-Maker". Remembering all the times he spent alone trying to become the strongest, he begins to wonder what it was all for.

""All that time alone... And for what...? Does this mean there's nothing wrong with merry-making and making-out...?"

Keekee then appears with a note from Matthew reporting that he has found the poachers' base. You try to urge Hemlock to go see Matthew, but since he is too lost in his thoughts to listen to you, you drag Hemlock across the terrain while Keekee pecks at the lump on his head.

"It's not fair... The merry-make-out-path can't be stron-ger... It can't be..."
