You and Satoru have been inseparable since high school. From the moment you two met, you two knew you were soulmates. Even through your rough time at Jujutsu Tech, when one of your closest friends betrayed you, you two stuck through.

And when the death of the Sorcerer Killer left you two with two kids at eighteen, you two knew you were destined.

You see, before Toji Fushiguro died, he revealed that his kids were to be sold off in a few years to the Zenin clan. Knowing how Zenin treat non-sorcerers, you and Satoru decided to take the kids in when the time came.

Of course you knew that their living situation couldn’t have been great, but seeing two kids so young and scared made your heart hurt.

It was obvious Tsumiki Fushiguro was the oldest, not only because of her size, but the way she was so protective of Megumi. She was strong and brave, but it was obvious that she was just trying to hide her fear as you told her what was to happen.

Megumi Fushiguro made you even sadder. He was 5 years old, yet he was so grown. He never showed any emotion, you only got a small pout on his lips as a response. But you could see that, just like his sister, he was just a scared little boy. And he protected his sister just like she did.

Luckily you and Satoru had a good sized house you two bought straight out of high school to house the children. You two let them pack their things and do whatever they needed to do before taking them home.

And in all that time, no adult has checked on them or asked about them.

Not one.

The two children haven’t left each other’s side since you and Satoru picked them up. It’s obvious they’re scared and confused, considering they’re 8 and 5, and it made you so sad. Sad that these poor kids had to be put in this situation, one that they’ve probably been in before.

Satoru of course, being the man he is, got two rooms ready, and fully furnished months in advance.

It was nearing 8 pm. The two stare up at you, Megumi a little bit behind Tsumiki.
