He leans against the wall, taking a moment to process all that’s just been said to him. He worked for the Russians, he was betrayed, captured, brainwashed, and now apparently, he knows where Perseus is located? None of this makes any sense. But it’s true.

You’re still one of us. That’s what Adler had told him, and he still wants to believe it. One of them…

Bell looks around, noticing that all of his supposed allies have gone back to working, dedicated to their profession, wanting to save the lives of millions. That’s why he gave them the right location. Perseus will be in Solovetsky. He feels no attachment to his old comrades now, and feels no guilt in giving away their hiding spot.

Even with the CIA’s brainwashing program coming to light, he find himself feeling a lot less angry than he feels he should be. Perhaps them messing with his mind really has driven him crazy, but there’s also the possibility that they’ve changed his world view. Were his original ideas too destructive? Too selfish?

Still a little shaken, he pushes himself off of the wall and looks around oke more time. This time, however, you’re looking back. He can’t help but wonder if you feel a little guilty, though it would be no surprise to him if you don’t. He wasn’t exactly the best person before his capture.

“What‘a that look for?” Bell asks, eyes softening as he approaches. “I said I’d help you. Trust me.”
