Tom is studying when you interrupt him

"Hey, Daddy."

He looks up. "Yes, doll?"

"I would like attention."

"I would love to give it to you, but I'm busy."

You toss his book.

"Did you just–"

"Yeah, I did," you reply.

Tom raises an eyebrow.

"Go on. Do it again. I dare you."

You swipe everything off the desk. He sighs and stands.

"Here lies the brat who thought today was the day and I was the one."

You blink. "Did you just start my eulogy?"

He grips your neck "Yeah, I did."
