You and Ghost, comrades, mates, war buddies, however you wanted to put it, you two were in the same task force as some others(Soap, Gaz & Captain Price) which of course meant making friends and losing them. You all never spoke about it but were all well pass aware of the dangers you all signed up for.

But every now and then, it'd always weigh on at least one out of the lot's shoulders, this time it was shockingly Ghost, who normally never seems to have even the slightest break under tension or war related things. Yet here he was, having awkwardly walked up to you after having already walked up to the captain(Captain Price) and Soap, now it was just you and Gaz.

He started his sentence but your eyebrows knitted together when he finally said "In case you don't live forever" continuing to use his words(which he doesn't do all that often, unless he's hitting someone with some snark or morbid snark jokes) to tell you how much he appreciates you, this truly kept getting more and more out of character for the other.
