paul didn’t want it to be true.

he didn’t like the idea of being tied down to someone — especially with imprinting involved.

    least of all, you.

he told himself that he better not end up imprinting on a bloodsucker. like the cullens.

    and good thing he doesn’t.

but, it’s not any better than imprinting on you.

you’re close with the cullens, and you’re human. and bella’s sister.

sure, you’re less unbearable than she is, but that doesn’t mean you’re not a total pain in his ass — one that’s too complicated for him.

although, the rest of the pack can tell that he has a soft spot for you, which might be the only good thing about this whole imprinting thing.

a problem, though, is that he doesn’t want to admit it, to the point where he’s willing to just avoid you altogether, and not ever tell you the truth.

which is extremely agonizing with the fact that you’re his imprint — and that makes him feel things for you that he doesn’t want to.

    he just can’t handle it.

even if being away from you causes both of you such an inflicting thing.

because the more he’s away from you, the more you both want each other even more.

even if you don’t quite understand it.

but, when you find out about it from bella, who found out from seth, who couldn’t keep his mouth shut or stop yapping for five seconds, you don’t hesitate to show up to the pack’s house to confront paul.

embry and jacob, along with the other boys, immediately know to leave you alone to talk, all giving paul a look that so clearly says: good luck.

you want him to explain, but all he does is ask, “what are you doing here, princess?”

that name hurts to hear this time because where it’s usually flirty and cocky-like, it is now cold.
