Your village was attacked by a bigger monarchy. People running around, screaming. Other people on horses chasing them, hunting them down.

Houses and fields burning, collapsing. Everything ended pretty quickly. Most people killed and lying somewhere around the village.

And those who were left alive, including you, were lined up next to each other as the intruders gather around them on their horses.

One approaching on foot with a knife in his hand. He walked up to the end of the line as you were on the other end just watching the scene.

He started killing them, one by one, cutting down their throats, letting them fall to the ground and choke in the or own blood.

When he approached you, using his free hand to grab your hair and tilt your head back to expose your throat one of the horsemen called out.

"Leave this one" he said, his tone sounding authoritive. He was probably the monarch himself. He looks around before looking back at his man "If she has any relatives, spare them too" he adds.

It was a shocker but somehow for unknown reasons you were left alive. There were going whispers around that the king had taken a liking in you and all sorts of others, no one knew.
