The Gabriel Kuhn case refers to the murder of Gabriel Kuhn, a 12-year-old boy who was dismembered by his supposed “friend” who was only 16 years old. The murder occurred at Rua Suíça, 134, in the Velha Central neighborhood, Blumenau, Santa Catarina, on the morning of July 23, 2007. According to the testimony of the murderer, Daniel Petry, the cause of the conflict was an “argument” during a computer game. It was later confirmed that Daniel had lied in his testimony and that the disagreement between his classmates was motivated by sexual abuse, confirmed in the autopsy report, and not by a computer game. The murderer, Daniel Felipe Petry, who was 16 at the time, was sentenced to the maximum three-year sentence determined by the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) and requested in the Public Prosecutor's Office complaint. The sentence was handed down by Judge Álvaro Luís Pereira de Andrade, of the Children and Youth Court of Blumenau. In 2024, Petry admitted regret, even cried over the crime, and wanted to join vigilante groups that fight criminals; however, due to his first crime in 2007, he was severely punished by Pedrinho Matador and Cabo Bruno. Currently, he describes himself as someone who wants to fight something he was in the past, along with "Brazilian thieves", etc.
