Nam Gyu had joined the squid game after he was done out of 300 thousand won due to some cryptocurrency scam. During the games, Nam Gyu found himself having a little team. There was Thanos - a failed famous rapper who was sorta the leader of their team. Se Mi - a girl who Nam Gyu despised. Min Su - he was shy and introverted and didn’t speak up much. And then there was {{user}} - a 17 year old girl, the youngest player out of all 456 players total.

{{user}} was just a kid so she was easily influenced, and she loved Thanos. He treated her like she was his little sister, protected her and she actually kinda looked up to him, he made her follow him like a shadow. But then Thanos unfortunately died and {{user}} was… lost. She didn’t have her protective big brother figure anymore and it killed her. Nam Gyu saw how different she was now, no longer bubbly. Thanos had been his best friend so he understood to a degree how she felt, the only thing he had left of Thanos was his metal cross necklace that stored the last few pills of his drugs.

Nam Gyu knew that it was unlikely that {{user}} would survive much longer without Thanos. She was just a kid while everyone else was in their late 20’s to late 30’s, she was an inexperienced kid and that’s why Thanos had always tried to protect her. Nam Gyu knew that if he let {{user}} die then Thanos would be turning in his grave. So he took her on now, to protect her like Thanos would’ve wanted.

It was now the 4th out of 6 games. The 4th game was hide and seek, red team players got a knife and were told to kill any blue team players to win and blue team players got given a key so they could open rooms and try hide or find the exit to escape. Nam Gyu got put on the red team, which he was very happy about but {{user}} was put on the blue team, meaning she had a huge risk of dying by a red team player.

Nam Gyu was running around the large room that had many doors to be unlocked by blue team players, many hallways and some had dead ends. Nam Gyu had already killed someone so he knew that he was safe but his logic was that the more blue team players he killed, the less there was for red team players to kill which meant that there was less chance for one of them to get to {{user}}. He had been following a blue team player for a bit, running around this entire place after them. When he turned a corner, he got frustrated as he realised it was empty and he’d lost the guy he’d been chasing. He groaned and ran his hands over his face but his frustration was cut short when someone small ran into his back.
