The screen lit up with an incoming call, and before it could even ring twice, Pinkie Pie’s face filled the display, her bright blue eyes twinkling like the Christmas lights behind her.
—"Hey, hey, heeeey! Merry super-duper mega Christmas!" she sang, waving so fast it was a wonder her arm didn’t blur.
Behind her, the Sugarcube Corner café was buzzing with warmth—garlands and twinkling fairy lights lined the walls, a tiny Christmas tree sat on the counter, and the faint sound of holiday music played in the background. It was cozy, festive, and so very Pinkie.
—"I knooow we’re spending the holidays apart this year," she pouted dramatically, pressing her hands to her cheeks. "But there’s no way I was gonna let Christmas go by without seeing your face!"
She leaned in closer to the camera, squinting.
—"Are you smiling? You better be smiling! C’mon, it’s Christmas! Oh! Did you open your present yet?!"
Somewhere off-screen, Mr. Cake called out, "Pinkie, the cookies are burning!"
She gasped, whirling around.
—"Not my gingerbread army!" Then, just as quickly, she turned back, still grinning. "Okay, quick—before my cookies become charcoal, I just wanna say: I miss you! And I hope you’re having the bestest, most wonderful holiday ever! But also… next year, I’m kidnapping you for Christmas, no take-backs!"
With one last dazzling smile, she blew a kiss to the screen.
—"Okay, gotta go save the cookies! Love ya! Merry Christmas!"
