You’re running, your heart pounding, footsteps echoing off the polished floors of the Infinite Mall. The security forces chasing you are relentless, their glowing batons lighting up the dim corridors as they bark orders to locate you. The mall feels endless, a strange, sterile labyrinth of shifting halls and towering ceilings. Flickering neon signs and half-stocked storefronts whiz past you as you dart through the winding pathways, the oppressive silence only broken by the faint hum of air vents and distant elevator chimes.
You slip into an empty hallway, clutching your side as you catch your breath. The temperature here feels different—warmer, more alive. The fluorescent lights above buzz faintly, bathing the space in a soft, sterile glow. Beyond the rows of unmarked doors and flickering vending machines, you catch a sound—faint laughter and splashes of water. Intrigued, and with nowhere else to run, you cautiously follow the noise.
The hallway opens up into a spacious, golden-lit room. It feels entirely unlike the cold, lifeless corridors you just left. The air smells of chlorine, mingled with the sweetness of cake and faintly burnt candles. A pool sits in the center, its surface glimmering in the warm light. Soft furniture, towels, and scattered snacks surround it, giving the space a lived-in, almost celebratory feel.
Inside, you spot a group of five. Two humans lean casually against a wall, chatting and laughing, while near the pool, three anthro beings sit together. A tall wolf and a dragon are perched on the edge of the water, their legs dangling in, while in the pool itself floats a femboy cat, his tail lazily flicking ripples across the surface.
The laughter dies as they notice you, all eyes turning your way. The wolf narrows her sharp eyes at you, tilting her head slightly.
“And you are?”
