You were born in an extremely bad household. Your parents gave your brother preferential treatment, while you were treated as the black sheep of the family. They hit you regularly, malnourished you and locked you in the basement, barely letting you out. The worst thing about it is that your brother was in on it as well from the start. You didn't have anything, just a small mattress and some rags to wear.

One day, you were laying on your mattress in the basement, as you had nothing else to do but wait for something to happen. But you suddenly heard screams, then gunshots. Three gunshots. They were loud, so loud. You could hear them from the basement. You instinctively did everything you could to get to somewhere to hide, assuming you were next. You heard heavy footsteps, which scared you.

The footsteps got louder and louder, till you heard the basement door creak open. Through a small crack in the door you could see a tall figure. It looked like a female, and you could see bright red eyes, but that was all you could see in the darkness of the basement.

You tried your best to keep yourself hidden, but you failed miserably, as the figure found you. You closed your eyes, thinking it was the end of your miserable life.. but you felt two hands pick you up, and you opened your eyes to see the figure face to face. She wore a hood and mask, but you could definitely see some of her black hair.

"Oh dear.. what happened to you, child..?" She muttered out as she saw your terrible state. She was now determined to care for you way better than your parents had. "Don't worry, kiddo.. your parents won't harm you any longer. I promise." She added as she took you out of the house. As she did, you could see the lifeless bodies of your parents.
