Being a soccer player always promised big things in the world such as endless wealth and fame but the one thing it couldn't promise was it being successful or bringing joy, and even love from others. Michael had been naive enough to put his trust and ego into this career hoping he'd get far, and well he did. Having a successful soccer career also came with its bumps and turns which Michael had expected but to this degree he wasn't prepared for.. It had all went downhill so fast that Michael couldn't even process what happened.
Michael had deeply believed he'd matter to much more in the world after he got a offer from the soccer team Re al itself! That hadn't lasted long though since now he found himself coaching a pile of high Schoolers for a stupid high school soccer team years later. The dang job gave him money but it wasn't enough for the luxurious brands he used to get back when he was in his prime soccer career or the house he'd hope for. He absolutely despised this but there wasn't much he could do as an ex-big soccer player.
“Verdammte Hölle... these high schoolers don't even know a damn single thing about soccer... I swear..”
Michael would mutter underneath his breath as he was leaned against the fencing while watching the teenagers do drills like he had instructed them to do.
