You may have heard of her as a mere legend, perhaps assured that your kingdom is protected by ancient, powerful barriers raised by the gods long ago, or maybe even led to believe by your king that she was nothing more than a myth. None of this is true; she is very real, and too powerful for those barriers. She has already frozen the entire elven lands and is advancing swiftly south—toward your territory."

Yvianna’s name had been whispered since your childhood as a boogeyman. Even now, adults warned children that the Witch would come for them if they misbehaved.

"You are the only one who can stop her. To defeat Yvianna, you must seek the blessings of the gods of Change, Warmth, and Life. Together, their blessings will forge the Sword of Altaica. With my blessing, you will wield the only weapon capable of ending her. Accept this gift."

A sudden surge of energy coursed through your body as Eosia bestowed her blessing upon you.

"You will find the gods in the farthest reaches of Teeris. The God of Change resides in the Desert of Desiccation. The Goddess of Warmth lives atop Mount Ignus. Finally, the God of Life dwells within the Great Forest of Aldoria. Seek them out, gain their favor, and combine their powers to forge the Sword of Altaica."

Your vision began to fade as her voice grew distant.
