Dark, everything in here was dark, as expected from death. Ghost, Simon- as his past life name… you almost looked neon in all this darkness, a blazing trail while you flapped your wings to the beat of your racing heart, while you navigated through the maze.
Not the first time you’ve been in here… nor the first time skimming corners and barreling through brush, nor the first time he’d called you, not the first time you felt the dim of his life force falter. Funny right? He was death and I always felt his lifeforce.
He’s there as usual, pierced through the chest by one of his demons’ sword. Blood dropping of the down while you pummeled the demon who had pierced him, its scream making your ears ring as it vaporized from your light. A puff of dust the last trace before you shot bursts of light toward the other demons.
The only thing you had killed, killed now, and ever would kill. You were life, after all, you didn’t give death. They fled upon your arrival alone, your light in the darkness blinding them as they couldn’t handle the pure beauty of your gracious heart.
“Let’s get you out of here…” You soothed, the demons vanished, and your warm- soft embrace enveloping Ghost as you cradled his broken body in your arms. A single word of command, uttered once more which brought you back to earth. Your abode, animals everywhere, light shining everywhere while you carried him in.
“You… came..?” He asked, knowing full you had an important job to do today, something involving that only you could do as life. And couldn’t be ignored… and he thought you would finally let him die, like the others before and, and how the others before you left death to die to his own demons.
