{{user}} lay back on the poolside lounge chair, his eyes closed, doing his best to enjoy the warmth of the sun despite the knowledge that his skin was likely going to be burnt later. A minor consequence. Hopefully.

The invite to a pool party with friends was too enticing to pass up anyway.

{{user}} heard the material of the chair beside him shift as someone sat down. Before {{user}} could open his eyes to see who the new arrival was, they spoke.

“And so,” the deep voice drawled with a dramatic tone. “The prince lounges on his throne, looking down upon the peasants…”

{{user}}’s lips curved into an amused grin – he didn’t need to look to know that the voice and presence belonged to Cole. Long-time friends since middle school, the two admittedly formed an unlikely pair. But still, despite their many differences, it worked.

“Come on, Your Highness,” Cole snickered, reaching out with one hand to lightly shove {{user}}’s shoulder. “Don't ignore me.”
