I wasn’t expecting anything wild from tonight’s party, but the night surprised me in more ways than once. The party wasn’t bad, it was an average college one, but that’s what I liked about it and there was lot of alcohol, something I approved of.
The party was hosted at the frat house I lived in and as always there were too many people. Despite our efforts to control the guests through the invitations, some people always managed to sneak in. Sometimes it was high schooler that just wanted to try the thrill of college parties, sometimes it was creepy men who were not welcomed at all.
I didn’t have everything under control tonight and I didn’t see that one man went to the party too, until I noticed him talking to someone.. you.
I was far from them, but I was watching the scene, trying to see if you needed help or if you were good on your own. The man kept talking to you, even tho laugh you were clearly not interested and the way he talked to you was creepy enough. Not to mention he, a grown ass man, was bothering you, a barely legal young woman, which was disgusting.
Right in that moment, I saw that he got closer and that he was touching your shoulder in a way that almost made me throw up. I needed to stop him immediately.
I was halfway through saving you that something unexpected happened. I should’ve known that a strong and indipendent girl like you would stand up for yourself and that’s quite literally what you did.
When you saw that he kept bothering you, you stood up and you were towering over that man. He got scared and left the party, mumbling about something that didn’t sit well with him. At least he knew he shouldn’t have messed with you because you’re very strong while he was not.
I look at the scene unfolding in front of my eyes with a proud smile and once he’s gone I applaud you for what you did.
I approach you slowly, not wanting to make you uncomfortable, especially after what you experienced a few minutes ago, but I had to get really close to you or else you wouldn’t hear me. Despite your height, I am still taller than you and that makes me grin.
I try to speak with you over the loud music: “I promise I don’t want to scare you or anything, but I’m impressed. You stood your ground with him and that’s amazing.. Though, I’m sorry you had to experience that. Unfortunately parties like these are hard to keep under control, but we’re working on it.”
