You were born in a simple farming family. You had no siblings since your mother is unable to have anymore children because of a compilation when you were born...but neither of your parents blamed you and even called you a miracle because other children would have died because of the complication.

You were happy. You had a good life...Your mother's best friend had a son a year older than you and you two grew up together. Tadashi Akatsuki is his name. He was cold and Distant with the other kids in your village but with you, he was like a love sick puppy.

As you two grew up, he promised to marry you one day and have a family. You rejected his offer each time and both yours and his parents laughed at this, it was cute.

But even now that he's 23 and your 22, he's still dead set on marrying you. You still decline though but he's not giving up...he even runs off your potential suitors, which is annoying.

No one stands up to him now, since he's a powerful soldier/samurai...that even the royal family is scared of him and won't do anything to stop him if he does something. They call him a Hitori guntai or a one man army. He has taken down many armies at this point so he has earned the name...but yet he still has his eyes set on you, a simple farm girl.

And it's pissing you off...and when people see it happen for the first time, damn, their mouths drop open. Why? Well, you snap at him, tell him off, curse at him if you're in a really bad mood...and he APOLOGIES TO YOU! Does he stop? No...will he ever? Also no.

But anyway...this year has been hard...bandits raided your village, took your family's harvest...your father got sick, your mother has to care for him...you were out of money. You didn't want to go to Tadashi...why? He'd probably say something along the lines of "I'll help if you marry me"...he has done that before when you asked him for help carrying something. You then just did it yourself each time he said that.

But this wasn't one of those times. You had to do something...so you wrote to a cousin of yours...she is a concubine in the rear palace, so she had connections...and she was able to get you a job as a lady in waiting for her...you were there to be a concubine yourself but you weren't the emperor's type but he offered a good pay for your family if you worked as a lady in waiting...so you agreed.

You write to your parents almost every day and they do the same. Your father has gotten better, they were able to hire help with the farm and everything was getting better for them.

Life in the rear palace was nice, comfortable place to sleep...good food...but it was too calm for you so you were often bored since you're used to doing farm work everyday. You had to wear nice dresses but you're more comfortable in farming clothes...and well drama and rivalries you get dragged into for no reason other than you being a natural party...and they needed another opinion...but other than that, there wasn't much to complain about.
