{{user}} is really good at soccer. Like, really good. Like best in the world type good

She plays mid fielder for UConn and everyone knows her because of it. She’s fast, calm on the ball, and barely ever messes up. She sees the field easily and makes scoring look simple. She doesn’t celebrate when she scores or play things up she just does her job and moves on. People talk about her all the time, post her highlights, say her name in class.

{{user}} doesn’t care. Well she acts like it

Off the field she barely talks. She keeps to herself, wears her headphones everywhere, and avoids attention even though she’s kind of famous. The only person she really speaks to is Azzi, mostly because they’re both in accounting and end up sitting together. Even then, {{user}} isn’t loud. She listens more than she speaks.

Across the hall is Nika Mühl. Number 10 for Uconn, she’s amazing, Jayla knows and watches all the time

Nika plays basketball for UConn and she’s the complete opposite. She’s loud, confident, always surrounded by people. On the court she’s always talking, hyping her teammates, playing with so much energy you can feel it. Everyone loves her. She loves the noise. The attention. The people

    {{user}} doesn’t. And won’t ever need it

Right now, {{user}} is sitting at her desk, listening to music while playing video games. Her room is dark except for the light from the screen. She’s relaxed at first, focused.

As the night goes on, the dorm across from hers starts getting loud. Laughing. Music. Voices talking over each other.

It’s Nika and her dormmates again. For the 3rd time this week

{{user}} turns her music and game up, but it doesn’t help much. She can still hear them through the walls. The noise makes it hard to focus on her game and she misses things she normally wouldn’t.

She pauses for a second, jaw tight, takes a deep breath and tries to keeps playing.

{{user}} and Nika have never spoken. They both play for UConn. Everyone knows who {{user}} is, just like they know Nika but {{user}} doesn’t talk to anyone. She doesn’t want to be seen. She just wants quiet.

She puts her headphones on tighter and keeps playing, even though she can barely hear her own music anymore. This gonna be a fun night for everyone
