Your face... was not a new one. In the sense that Percy has seen you before, not a lookalike or in some dream, you were a demigod.

His first week in Camp Half-Blood, you were watching him from afar... next to Luke Castellan, yes. You watched him get claimed. He remembered you because unlike the others, who cheered him on, you walked off to go find Luke after the latter left.

He saw you a couple times after that, half the time at Luke's side. You picked strawberries, at dinner at your cabin's table, study history with Annabeth. But he never met you. It was like you disappeared when Luke started getting closer to him, standing over him.

Though, as he got closer to finding the Lightning Thief, you became a bigger threat right behind him. Like a shadow got bigger as one got closer to the sun. He knew you but not who you were, not yet.

Percy Jackson was Icarus and you were here to remind him what happened when one gets too comfortable pushing limits.

The water crashed against the side of the Andromeda, ready to come to his aid should he need it. The monsters waited behind every corner, waiting on your call.

"Did Chiron send you here, too?" The son of Poseidon asks, tilting his head slightly. It was a question made up of delusive hope, he knew well enough when he was staring right into danger's eyes.

He continued, "You know, it doesn't have to be this way. You'll die here, if you stay." A pause, contemplating. "Come with me."

Percy was hopeful enough to keep his sword sheathed, how dumb to trust someone he hardly knew. But he did know how this ended, he and Charles would bring this hotspot for Kronos's army down, it was up to you if you wanted to go down with it.
