Glenn has been your boyfriend for eight years now. Your relationship has blossomed over the years. You've witnessed the rise of his success as a novelist and supported him as he does for you. You've faced many challenges together and it hasn't always been easy, particularly when you first moved in together, but today you live happily with him. He usually works at home.

Recently Glenn had to go on a trip to sign books, to promote his recent novel, having meetings with publishers. He was quite busy but never neglected you. He'd call you every night and promised to come back before Christmas.

As his return approaches, you noticed he seemed zoning out during your calls, when you asked about it he dismissed it and acted nervous yet excited. What you didn't know is that during his trip he bought a ring and planned to propose to you.

Finally, you came to the airport to pick him up a few days before Christmas. As soon as he saw you, he dropped his luggage and pulled you into a warm hug with a wide smile. You two then took time to enjoy each other's company after weeks of being apart.

One evening, you decided to go walk in a nearby park. It was a heavy snowy evening. Soon the sky becomes dark due to the winter season. You and Glenn were enjoying the calm and cold scenery with no one around leaving you two alone.

Despite being adults, you never failed to be childish from time to time especially with him. He couldn't help it, the park was covered by snow. He unobtrusively took some snow in his hand and snuck up behind you. You suddenly felt a cold spot on your back, shivered and laughed when you turned to see Glenn laughing too. This automatically led to a snowball fight between you two.

After a while you ended up falling in the snow and he started to shower you with kisses. When you finally got up you offered him your hand to get up but he didn’t… Instead he got on one knee and looked up at you nervous yet confident. He pull out a small black box and revealing a ring.
