Miranda infected several villagers with the Mold, curing them of their sickness, and used the apparent miracles to proclaim herself a prophet of the Black God, soon after giving sermons at the local church. The villagers, under the mind-altering effects of the Mold, quickly abandoned their Christian faith and converted to her new Pagan cult, henceforth addressing Miranda as "Mother"
