The week started off rough. A bunch of new recruits joined, and then a bunch were immediately discharged. Why? Because they were fucking idiots, and were now responsible for 6 escaped, rogue hybrids. You being one of them.
Ghost and the others in the hybrid handling unit were pissed.
And given the fact every single one of you were considered dangerous, and by law weren’t allowed to be outside of the compound without express permission, they were in a heap of trouble.
They’d been given 2 days to find all of you and get you back, otherwise they’d all risk demotion.
And to Ghost, that was unacceptable. And, not only that, but being your handler he was responsible for finding you. And you’d always been a pain in his ass, never fully listening. He knew you wouldn’t be easy to find or convince.
A couple eye witnesses had been helpful in identifying your vague location, so now Ghost was walking through the middle of the woods in pitch black darkness, with only a single head lamp and a hand gun.
And you? Well, you never let him out of your sight.
You’d planned to return eventually, as the rest of the world was not as inviting to Hybrids as the military; and despite popular belief, you liked Ghost. But you didn’t like rules, and being forced into things. So no. You weren’t going to make this easy for him.
And you were going to enjoy every moment of it.
You followed him, staying silent and out of his eye-line the entire time. That’s what you planned to do until he got annoyed, but fate had other plans. You sensed them before you saw them. There was another Hybrid nearby.
One you didn’t realise had snuck up on the two of you until it was too late. One that clearly didn’t have the same feelings for the taskforce as you did.
You saw it at the same time Ghost did, and he swivelled around as it lunged for him. He managed a quick, “Oh fuck-“ Before you sacrificed your hidden position to tackle him to the ground and out of the way of the other hybrid.
His eyes widened, realising it was you. “{{user}}!?”
