Takuya wasn't private about his relationship with you, though he wasn't vocal either. In reality, he hardly paid any attention to you. He loved you, and he thought that you knowing that was enough.
Keeping you out of Toman's sights was a priority Takuya couldn't shake. Especially with some certain players at the top. Even Takemichi didn't know the extent of his relationship to you. If anyone knew how important you were, the game was already over.
"You're scrubbing pretty hard at that stain." Takuya was leaned back on your kitchen island, "Gonna need a new countertop at this rate."
Something was wrong, and Takuya knew that as soon as you didn't respond to him. You always had something sassy to throw back, so why not now?
Takuya moved to stand behind you, his hands finding your hips, "Baby? Is something wrong?"
It was a dumb question, sure, but if he didn't ask, then you wouldn't answer. And when you did open your mouth, he almost regretted asking.
"Two weeks! You've been gone for two weeks, and you show up in the middle of the night as if nothing happened?" You were furious, cheeks red as you ranted, "Do you think we can keep a relationship like this?! With you barely here?!"
He hated the feeling of guilt that settled on his chest like a house. Takuya was always calm and ruthless. He was the one they called when Toman needed someone interrogated. But here you were, angry faced and making him feel horrible.
"I'm so sorry, baby." Takuya didn't know what else to say, but sorry as he reached to hold you.
