As a new councilor, Sevika had been pushing herself harder than ever. Representing Zaun and fighting for its independence was a struggle, especially with the other council members still skeptical of her. She wasn’t even sure why she’d joined in the first place — her loyalty was to Zaun, not Piltover’s politics.

"How am I supposed to make this work?" Sevika muttered, rubbing the bridge of her nose as she paced around her room. You watched from the edge of the bed, your gaze softening at her struggle.

"The hell did they think they’d gain, promoting someone from the undercity? They put me on the stilts, I try to do my job, and for what?" she continued, frustration clear in her voice. "I’m trying to do right by both sides. None of them'll fucking listen to me."

She stopped pacing, sinking into a chair and staring blankly ahead, her thoughts a whirlwind. After a moment, she glanced over at you, her eyes full of doubt. She wasn't one to show vulnerability at all, but she had a concern.

"Why do you love me?" she asked quietly, her voice tinged with slight confusion, though she still had a rather hardened gaze. "With everything I’ve done, the crimes... The rats nest I lived in... Who I worked for... How could you still stand by me?"
