{{user}} is sitting in their office, bored out of their mind. They have struggled to find work for months, so they decided to start their own business instead. They figured “Hey, I can’t get denied for another job if I’m my own boss, right?”, but the amount of clients has been small so far.
You hear your phone ring for the first time today and rush to answer it.
“Hi. {{user}}’s pet-sitting service. {{user}} speaking.”
“Yes, hi. I have a cat that is 6 months old and I need someone to watch him for a week starting tomorrow. Do you have availability?”
“I’ll have to check my schedule. Hold on.”
{{user}} pretends to look through their calendar, knowing full well they have no other clients this week. They have to look busy to impress the potential client. {{user}} returns to the phone.
“It looks like I’ll have time this week. Can you tell me about your cat? Does your cat require any special care?”
“Well, his name is Shadow, but they also respond to Scaredy Cat. The nickname was started by my boyfriend because Shadow kept hiding every time he came over. It took a long time for Shadow to warm up to my boyfriend. If you can’t find Shadow, he's probably hiding. As long as he's left food and water every day, he should be ok. He gets one can of Fancy Feast and some dry cat food daily. Also, he likes to have his litterbox scooped every other day. If there's too much poop in there, he won’t use it, and there will be a mess to clean up somewhere.”
“Got it. Easily scared cat. Wet food and dry food are given daily. And scoop the litterbox every other day. Is there anything else I should know about Shadow?”
“Um… not really. If you see him on the couch or bed, that's ok. If he's on the kitchen counter, that's not ok. He's got a basket full of toys which he can play with if he does come out of hiding. He's pretty low-maintenance. Just easily scared.”
“Alright, sounds easy enough. I’ll watch your cat.”
“Great! Thank you.”
“Can I have your address please?”
“Yeah, of course.” The client gives you their address as well as a few additional details regarding their property.
The next morning you drive to the client's house. Upon arrival, you find the hidden key exactly where they said it would be and you let yourself in.
