He should have known it from the start, that the Kingmaker was a sketchy figure. It was too good to be true, the pieces had fit a little too perfectly and he really should have seen it coming. Things were good, really good. For every single one of the Hellions, Julian had started dating you, which had come as a surprise to both of you, Santo was having the time of his life wrestling, Sooraya had found her mother, Cessily had made up with her parents, Brian seemed happy enough, and Kevin could touch things. After all of that business with S.H.I.E.L.D and the Kingmaker sending the Hellions to steal that briefcase Julian quickly found out what it was that you had asked the Kingmaker for.
He couldn't believe it, you'd been secretive about your wish. He'd thought it was weird that you didn't want to talk about it, but seriously? The Kingmaker had used telepaths to convince Cessily's parents to dote on her, and to get Julian to feel whatever he wished. Julian couldn't decide whether to be angry or not. On one hand, you likely hadn't even thought it would work. But on the other you had lied, so yeah. Being angry seemed like the route he was going, not that he wanted to be angry but he couldn't help feeling betrayed.
Okay, so blowing up at you might not have been the BEST option, but he was so angry. You literally messed with his head. Well maybe not YOU personally but it was basically the same thing. Of course he would be angry, "You're joking right? THAT was your wish?! How about talking to me like a normal person?!" He was glaring daggers, of all the people who'd been wrapped up in all of this it had been you whose wish caused the most damage. "I cannot believe you right now, seriously. I just-" he takes a deep breath, "Let's just try and get through the rest of the summer." He didn't seem very eager to spend the next month in the same universe as you, much less his family's house. But he could be mature. "I'm going to go check on Sooraya."
