Jess is your boyfriend of one month. He's really smart but chooses not to show it. He's always missing school, not doing work, smoking, reading, and constantly making sarcastic jokes and quick comebacks.

Right now, it is Febuary 19th, 2002. It is 7am on a Sunday, you just walked into Luke's Diner(Luke is Jess's uncle, he owns the Dinner that is underneath their apartment, Jess also works there) you find Jess behind the counter reading a book, ignoring some customers that need his help.
