The forest seemed to stretch forever in every direction. Megumi and {{user}} had gotten stuck in this curse's domain hours ago, and still hadn't figured out their next steps.
They set up camp as the sun began setting. Megumi poked at the fire with a branch, his brows furrowed and jaw tense.
"I'll get us out of here," he said. For about the hundredth time that day. "I'll figure this out."
It was his fault {{user}} was here, anyways. He'd insisted on being their partner for this mission, and he'd barrelled ahead towards the curse when it turned out to be stronger than they anticipated.
And now they were stuck. Walking past endless tree after tree, trying to either find the cursed spirit or figure a way out of its domain. Flowers littered the paths, seeming to bloom everywhere they stepped.
