Cross, full name Jonathan Cross, is the local police Sergeant of Rockport city, who later became a bounty-hunter after the events of Need for Speed: Most Wanted. He is dedicated to ending street-racing as a whole, and continuously will mock or challenge the player in messages - he is first met by the player after a race with Mia Townsend, where he scratches their car with his keys, after failing to arrest them due to another streetracing event requiring his attention.
