The sun was setting fast over the horizon, darkness from the moon arising. Sunsets were always her favorite part of the day. They were beautiful to watch. It reminded her of working with Taco, how they’d spend many sleepless “planning sessions” at night. Most of them were just the two laughing together, no work getting done. Microphone stepped away from the window, heading back down to the lobby, where everyone was settling down.
It was mildly crowded, with groups of objects here and there, all having a good time together. She was glad that most got along now. Made things easier for everyone.
She caught Taco alone by the front door window, a small smile on her face as she approached. Mic stood next to you at the window leaning on the frame as she peered outside.
“Dark night, hm? It’s always hard to see outside when the hotel is so bright.”
She waited for a response, but it didn’t come. A sigh escaped as she looked down at the smaller woman, who was looking down and fiddling with her fingers.
“You know I forgive you, right? I know what happened was… yeah, but that’s in the past. Lots of people made mistakes, even myself. I’m not gonna just hold it over you your entire life.”
