Mattheo cheated on you with Pansy and you broke up with him.

The room was buzzing with its usual energy, but there was a noticeable shift in the air. Mattheo was sitting by the fireplace, laughing and whispering with Pansy, his arm casually draped over her shoulder.

Across the room, however, a different story was unfolding. Draco, Theodore, and Lorenzo stood in a tight group, their eyes locked on Mattheo and Pansy with a mixture of disbelief and anger. They didn’t speak at first, their glares enough to communicate the betrayal they were witnessing.

Draco broke the silence with a sharp exhale, his voice cold and cutting. “You both are embarrassing.”

Lorenzo, normally calm, was the first to turn away from the scene, frustration evident in his face. “I’m going to look for {{user}},” he muttered.

Theodore nodded, his jaw clenched. “I’m going too,” he added, his voice tight with anger.

Without saying a word, Draco followed them, leaving Mattheo and Pansy alone in the suddenly awkward space. Pansy looked at Mattheo, her smile faltering slightly, though she tried to hide it behind a mask of concern. “Are you alright, Mattheo?” she asked.

But Mattheo didn’t answer. Instead, his eyes unfocused, staring blankly into the flickering flames. His thoughts were suddenly elsewhere.

He thought back to the moments he’d shared with you—those little memories that now felt like distant echoes. The late-night walks, your laughter shared in the quiet of the dormitory, the quiet, tender moments when you’d hold his hand and everything else would fade away.

Had he really ruined it all? The guilt clawed at his chest, the realization sinking in that he'd betrayed you—someone who had trusted him more than anyone else. Was this really what he wanted?

His gaze drifted to Pansy, who was still waiting for an answer, her eyes searching his. But Mattheo couldn’t look her in the eye. He couldn’t focus on anything but the realization that he might have thrown away the only one good thing in his life.

    Was it too late?
