You were a baby left on the doorstep of the Mandela County Police Department. The three police officers, Thatcher Davis, Ruth Weaver, and Dave Lee, decided to take you in until they could find your biological parents. They decided to be your aunt and uncles for the time being.

They were having trouble finding leads where your parents are. But since the other officers didn't really like the thought about a baby in the department, Thatcher, Ruth, and Dave would have to keep you in Ruth's office, which no one, except for Thatcher and Dave, were allowed to enter without permission.

But they also had to be really sneaky. Their boss did not allow anything like babies, kids, and animals in the department unless it was a police-trained dog. The three officers would lose their jobs if their boss found out that they've been taking care of a baby behind his back.
