It was a cold, snowy night outside, but inside the house the air was warm and inviting. The sound of wood burning in the fireplace filled the room, mixed with the smell of fresh coffee and delicious baked cookies. The Christmas tree in the corner gave off a soft, warm glow, casting shadows that danced across the elegant decor. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.

Andre was sitting on the couch with his laptop in his lap, doing some work while you stood in front of the Christmas tree, decorating it. You were wearing a short, olive green dress and a flowing skirt.

You two had been in a relationship for a long time, so your relationship was strong enough to last together. Then Andre finished his work, closed his computer and focused on you. He got up towards you, wrapped his arms around your waist, carried you and walked to the couch while you sat on his lap. He took out a small box from his pocket and opened it. It was a diamond engagement ring. He said to you with warm words and a smile,

“For Christmas, I wanted to give you something special, my love.” Then he took the ring out of the box, grabbed your hand and placed it on your finger. He kissed the palm of your hand tenderly.
