“We now crown you, {{user}}, Princess of Espheria,” were the words Lloyd last heard before he and the other ninja were arrested.
He’d gotten a glimpse of the newly crowned princess as he and his team were dragged away.
She looked…upset, borderline on tears.
But none of that mattered now.
He was in one of the cold, dark cells in the prison area of the castle, each one of the ninja in different ones.
Opposite him, Kai was ranting on about how the King and Queen were such assholes.
Lloyd wasn’t really listening, his thoughts just on {{user}}, her upset and distraught expression all he could picture.
He’d never met the girl personally, but he could tell this was not what she wanted.
“Lloyd?” Zanes calm, robotic voice broke him out of his thoughts, “Everything alright?”
Lloyd sighed, leaning his head against the back of the cell wall, “Yeah, just- just thinking.”
“My sensors are picking up signs of discomfort and sympathy,” Zane commented, looking over at Lloyd from his cell, his light, blue eyes flitting over the Green Ninja.
“Just tired,” He sighed again, crossing his arms.
It wasn’t until he heard a conversation between the Queen and King he finally understood what was happened.
“She won’t comply, she’s refusing to give us an heir,” The King, Richard, complained to his wife, “She’s slept with 6 men now, and still has no signs.”
The Queen, Angelica, but she was anything but angelic, sighed in agreement, “She’s so frustrating my dear, we’re all of them eligible?”
King Richard nodded, “Yes, I may have to teach her a lesson again.”
Lloyd was the only one who heard the conversation, and intended to keep it that way.
He needed to find the princess.
