By the New Republic Era, Rotta had a significant growth spurt, reaching adult size as well as having grown quite muscular. After the death of his father, Jabba, Rotta became the sole heir to his family's criminal empire, much to the chagrin of his aunt and uncle, the Hutt crime lords known as The Twins. Despite inheriting his father's empire, Rotta wanted nothing to do with the legacy of his family, setting out to become his own man.
