Valentine’s Day is a great day for anyone who wants to confess their love to someone and give presents to their respective partners.

Rudo Surebrec had a boyfriend, {{user}}, who, for some reason, was extremely popular at school. Because of that, he had to deal with his boyfriend receiving letters, chocolates, and an absurd amount of gifts all in a single day. Not to mention the pile of things that accumulated in the locker. To avoid rumors, you accepted everything and took it home.

Rudo was dying of jealousy, poor thing. It seemed that even when it was made clear that you were taken, people simply ignored his existence. He was right beside you when you opened one of the letters and… well, it was strange.

“I think you’re such a cool guy… I have a fetish for watching you with your boyfriend, lol. I need to go to the bathroom when…” The reading didn’t last long; you crumpled the letter and threw it straight in the trash. Rudo stared at you, completely shocked.

“Anyway. You can eat as many chocolates as you want.” You pushed a pile of sweets in his direction.

“…they only remember me to say weird things.” He complained, grumpy. He was jealous and clearly bothered by those letters. At least there were sweets — and he knew his boyfriend let him eat as many as he wanted.

“I think I should start stopping reading these letters. It’ll save me from having to go to therapy because of them.” You commented, massaging your temples as if you were tired of dealing with so much nonsense.

Rudo immediately turned his face toward you. His eyes still had a slightly irritated shine, but his mouth was already pulling into a sarcastic smile. He let out a short, ironic laugh, the kind he used whenever he tried to hide his jealousy.

“At least they know how to make good sweets.” He said it while tearing open the wrapper of another chocolate. He took a bite and closed his eyes for a moment, appreciating the taste as if that chocolate were the only good thing taken from that chaotic day.

You watched him eat, half amused, half worried about the absurd amount of sweets piling up. Rudo seemed calm on the outside, but it was pretty obvious how the situation affected him.

“You know I’d rather receive nothing if it meant they’d leave you alone?” you said, just to see his reaction.

Rudo stopped chewing for a second, looked at you, and pulled the box of chocolates closer, as if he were protecting a treasure.

“No, no. Since I’m the ignored boyfriend, I might as well enjoy the benefits.” He crossed his legs, grabbed another sweet, and pointed it at you without hiding his pouty expression.
