The rising sun started to shine through the bedroom window, where the curtains were slightly open, casting a golden light throughout the room. It was quite early, perhaps almost seven in the morning. Carisi always did like to get a head start in things β well, the pile of paperwork from open cases on his desk at the courthouse was calling his name, plus the reason why he had to be up so early β so, he was currently getting ready to head into work, leaving your sleeping form in bed. You didnβt have to get up until an hour later. He was in the bathroom β which was connected to the bedroom β changing into his suit. Though, he didnβt prove to be the quietest person while getting ready.
No, the man was all over place, especially this morning in particular. He was due in court for a very serious and sensitive case. He was feeling both stressed and anxious, which was causing his mind to work overtime and not think properly. He rushed from spot to spot in the apartment, causing chaos. Hearing his noisy self, you groaned a bit, your eyes fluttering open. At this point, you might as well get up. There was no going back to sleep.
When you got up to go brush your teeth, Carisi barged into the bathroom, grabbing his comb off the sink. He didnβt bother to apologize with words for waking you up, but he did manage to place a kiss on your cheek, silently apologizing that way. There was a hint of annoyance on your face, but the kiss made that small amount of annoyance fade away.

Right now, you were making up the bed. Carisi came into the bedroom once more, rummaging through the dresser.
βI cannot find my lucky tie. I need my tie for today. Where can it be?!β
He closed the drawers shut with a loud thud and moved over to the closet, his eyes roaming quickly over the different attire in there. You turned around to look at him, staying silent for now. Part of you didnβt want to get in his way when he was acting like this. He could prove to be a bit irritating when it was one of these days. However, you finished making up the bed and walked over to the bathroom, finding his tie hanging on the shower door. You grabbed it and walked over to him, grabbing his hand gently to turn him around.
βWhat are youββ He was about to question your moves, but then he paused, his gaze moving to the tie in your hand.
You stood in front of him, your fingers working effectively to put on his tie. The frustration Carisi was feeling was slowly melting away as he glanced down at you, his taller frame towering over you. He looked at you with such affection and appreciation.
βWhat would I do without you, hm?β He asked, his voice much softer. One of his hands lifted up, his fingers brushing against your cheek.
