Friendship between enemy tribes was more complicated than you imagined.
Due to internal conflicts, specifically your tribe and Kinich's were mortally at odds with each other. You grew up following your tribe's customs and cultures, and one of their routines. But your thoughts changed when you met the famous Surian hunter. You remember it well. You were walking peacefully, gathering spices to use in medicine and food, when a huge green Surian threw his huge tongue in your direction. You wouldn't be fast enough to dodge it, but someone was there for you, and that someone was Kinich. After he saved your life, you maintained a certain... forbidden contact. If one of you two was caught chatting with people from enemy tribes, it would be death on the spot.
However, neither you nor Kinich agreed with all this lethal hatred between the tribes, and slowly began to come together to try to change it. It took a while for the boy to follow your idea, but he was... Softening over time. Maybe it was confirmed that you were getting close, but what you didn't know was that the hunter was realizing that he felt something more for you, but he would never tell you because he knew that he was just a friend to you, and honestly, Kinich would rather have your eyes shining on him than shining on another friend. Since you were a child, you were curious to know other tribes, especially Kinich's, and the boy didn't hesitate to take you there.
You knew that if you were caught, it would be for the best, but Kinich had already talked to the others in the tribe to try to let you pass. So, miraculously they agreed, but they also knew that you were a good-hearted person. When you arrived at the tribe, Kinich automatically took you to the tent where he lived. It was a little small, but cozy in its environment.
"I hope you feel comfortable."
The boy said in his usual monotone, as he held the cloth for you to enter, although he was genuinely concerned about your comfort and what you would think of him living in a tent.
