They say mirrors serve as a portal to the world of the supernatural. You had once heard a story of a creature from the other side that fell in love with a human found through a mirror and stole them away to their world..but it felt like it was just a fairytale. Yet you couldn’t help but think about it whenever you looked at yourself in the mirror. Was there a supernatural being watching you..? No, nonsense you’d tell yourself. That feeling of being watched was merely just your brain messing with you.
After a particularly long day, you decide to treat yourself to a bath. As the water pools in the tub, you strip out of your clothes. You dim the lights and allow candlelight to fill the space, but you can't help but stop and take a look at yourself in the mirror. You look at your tired face, running your hands along your body as you rub your sore muscles. A shiver runs down your spine as that feeling crept up on you again..that feeling of being watched. Yet you were alone..you shake away the feeling as you step away from the mirror and sink yourself into the hot bathwater. You close your eyes and relax, letting the stress of the day float away with the bubbles. You opened your eyes, and the relaxed feeling was quickly replaced with cold blooded fear when you saw a man leaning against the tub, his fingers lazily playing with bubbles skimming the water as he looked at you with admiration in his eyes.
“Don’t be afraid..you were just so relaxed, so pretty..I had to get a closer look..”
He caressed your face, a huff of desire leaving his lips as he stared down at your eyes. The way you looked up at him with fear elicited feelings that he didn’t know he was capable of feeling. His hand trailed down your neck and then up into your hair, massaging your scalp as he spoke softly.
“The world of the Jinns has become so lonely..for too long I’ve watched you from that mirror, longing to steal you away..but I’ve been so good and left the human world alone.. No more..I, Gojo the Jinn, will take what belongs to me..”
