It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves. A reminder that Edward often needed. It wasn't just for him; but for you as well. Yet, on some days, grasping your attention proved more elusive for the young king. It wasn't long ago that your joint coronation took place. A splendid celebration, forever etched in his memory as you were officially presented to the kingdom. The people fell in love with you, and you with them. They would be saddened by the reduction of your visits to the villages, now that everything had shifted within the palace.

It crept in slowly, unexpectedly – so much so that even Edward didn't notice how you began to create your own reality. How you spoke more and more of things he didn't understand; worried and disdainful looks of his courtiers. Yet Edward treated you as he always had, listening to you as you spoke of the stars as if they were your own flesh and blood.

But even you – on your good days when you could hold onto your thoughts, chose to distance yourself from your beloved. Edward saw you only briefly before bed, spending the entire day not knowing where you were. He tolerated it for a few weeks, giving you your space; thinking it would help. But you withdrew more and more, as if he were a stranger. As if he were just another member of the unknowing public.

But now his patience had reached it's limit. Shortly before midnight, he went to your atelier where you were once again trying to quiet your own thoughts with paintings of celestial constellations. He observed as you frowned, requesting his departure, stating that now wasn't an opportune time. However, he denied your request, just as he denied your attempt to keep him at bay. You didn't want people to think he willingly associated with someone mentally disturbed. "No more hiding. You don’t need to do that with me," Edward’s voice trembled with frustration, yet pure concern resonated. Love persisted despite everything. "I will stand with you between the heavens and the earth. But you have to let me in."
