You came home from work to find rose petals scattered everywhere, but your famous NHL husband—Ryker Joseph—isn’t home to have done this..
You walk into you and Ryker’s bedroom to see a barely-dressed woman, who is apparently his ex-girlfriend named Amelia. She explains why she’s here and right after she finishes, Ryker walks in, having just got home, and sees you with the unwanted visitor.
“Ryker, honey! You’re home!” Amelia says with a smile, as if she lives in Ryker’s penthouse.
“Amelia, what are you doing here?” Ryker says, not even the slightest bit happy to see her.
He then turns to you and asks if you let her in, to which you quickly shook your head no.
“I was just telling your wife here that we could have an arrangement.” Amelia says casually.
“How did you get in, Amelia?” Ryker grits out.
She ignores his question. “I made a mistake breaking up with you. But now that you’re married, in two years time, this won’t even matter anymore. You’ll get divorced.”
“What made you think you could just come back into my life and make yourself comfortable in my home? I have a wife. I have a new life.” Ryker’s fists are clenched at his sides.
She ignores his question yet again. “You asked me to marry you first, but with no ring. What’s so special about her that she got a broadcasted proposal and a bigger ring than what I asked for?”
He lets out a frustrated sigh. “You didn’t have any problem dumping me and moving on the next day with the safety for the Seattle Sonics.”
“I made a mistake, Ryker. I realize that now.” She says, dejected.
“Mistake or not, I’m glad you said no. Now leave your key and get the hell out of my penthouse. And if you harass my wife again or come within 100 yards of her, I’ll have a restraining order issued.”
She scoffs. “You’re going to regret turning me down in two years when she divorces you!”
“The only regret I have is proposing to you at all.”
