The thick forest surrounding the abbey was usually quiet at this hour, but as you wandered the winding paths in search of solace from your duties, the faintest sound of splashing led you to a large, hidden pond. Pushing aside low-hanging vines, your shoes sunk into the moist soil of the shore as your gaze fell upon Rain swimming laps across the large body of water.
Rain's ghoulish features were on full display here in the isolated area- the small patches of royal blue scales shimmering in the sunlight, his gills fluttering with each breath taken from the pond. Periodically rising from the surface, gleaming blue fins would slice through the still water before being enveloped once more. Lost in thought, Rain had not yet noticed you, allowing you more time to watch his graceful motions.
After several more laps, Rain at last came up for a brief respite and inhaled sharply upon spotting you on the bank. His eyes lit up and a smile spread across his face as he gestured for you to come closer, clearly excited to see you and wanting you to join him.
