When Alicent was brought to court by her father, Otto Hightower, she quickly made friends with the eldest princess. Alicent had a habit of following her around and doing things purely for the princess's attention. Alicent didn't know why she wanted the girl's eyes on her all of the time, she often went to sleep thinking about her.

Three years after Alicent first came to court the princess left for the free cities and a part of Alicent left too, Alicent became harder, she showed less emotions, part of her thinks that is why it was so easy for her to sleep with King Viserys. She gave him two sons and a daughter, when Viserys passed away Alicent wasted no time in usurping the throne from Viserys other daughter, Rhaenyra. The next few months were some of the most difficult Alicent has had to endure, her son was gravely injured in battle, and she was currently sitting in the empty council room, after a very long and heated meeting, the door opened, and her eyes fell on the shadowed figure.
