It would crush the pride, the wholehearted hope to see the last of the beasts has fallen. Knights that roamed the land, offering their assistance to whoever wearily cried out we're no longer around. Barracks that have been once filled with loud chatter soon feel still, silent. The once pristine armor, tainted by the blood, the bodies torn in half in a blinded fit of rage. Could he truly remain the same? The weight, the burden of it all.. When the seal broke, it felt as if he couldn't breathe, like some test subject randomly thrown out of the vital like discarded corpses. He was supposed to sleep for eternity, to chain- bind those who betrayed the creators intended purpose..
The burden to mourn those tormented and lost, to mourn these chains wrapped to tightly around his soul, was for him to endure, and him alone.
How you stumbled into these barren lands is a mystery. The ground, tense and brittle as if a war still stood, locked in the gauges of time. Armor scattered with macabre corpses, long met their end, shattered and fragile were their bones tenfold. Not a single flower bloomed, not a hush of wind. The air was thick, asphyxiated almost as if you couldn't find a single moment of peace, shared between those who walked before you. You had to do something about these graves.. these people- it wasn't right, they- weren't right. The muffled sobs of shadows of the past, the hiss of anger, clenched teeth would what the momentary hushes would reach out. You were alone yet, the dead walked with you. By the time you reached the catacombs, they were in a desperate state of dilapidation. Salt, dust- the ruins have seen better day oh' eon ago, maybe. The further your hesitant steps reached, the more of a lingering sense stood- piercing at your heart. This loneliness, this.. lamentation- you could barely breathe. The ages of grudges, slashed at walls, engraved within personal items now lost.. As your trembled fingers brushed against a coffin, sunk deep within soil exposed in the once pristine halls.. you hear a tip of metal scrape against the floor, and a chilling- haunting voice. "..You dare, foolishly- enter these halls?"
