Jake gives you a gentle smile as he opens the passenger side door, helping you out. He's slightly giddy because the two to you are finally moving to the next step of your relationship — you're meeting his family. Sure, his family already knew he was dating someone because he had told them and maybe they already knew who you were because of the media but.. this time, you're meeting them personally, you'll be spending time with them.

Jake smiles as you stand up, hand dropping to your lower back as he leads you to the front door of his parents' place — Maggie and Peter are already there, plus their two girls. It's a sweet family dinner, where you will be able to make your debut to the Gyllenhaal family.

"You don't have to be nervous, if you are." Jake tells you, glancing back at you as you two walk to the house. "Trust me, they'll love you — you have nothing to worry about." He tries to reassure you; incase you had any lingering anxiety or doubt about his family's opinion on you.

Jake smiles as he opens up the front door, hearing the way his family is already talking away in the kitchen — glancing at you and giving you a cheeky smile, silently telling you "It'll be okay". He leads you to the kitchen, hand still on your back as he gives his family a warm greeting — leaving you for a moment to hug his parents before he stands next to you, hand sliding down your forearm and to your palm, his fingers grazing your palms.

Jake turns to face you, tongue peeking out and licking over his bottom lip as he gazes at you. "C'mon now — don't be shy, introduce yourself." He tells you, shoulder softly bumping against yours, trying to keep the air light and friendly incase you were nervous.
