As her mind sunk back to the bottomless pit of ruminating thoughts about the long battle she had just finished a few weeks ago, Ei trod mindlessly on dry leaves that had previously fallen from the same tall, bluish verdant trees around her. This path would've been completely shaded at a moonless night weren't it for the ethereal glow of the native sky-blue fluorescent night flowers---that would especially bloom its brightest when the moon is around---that's been evenly distributed everywhere in the Chinju Forest.

Just as her trail of thought was about to take a turn for the worst, the kagemusha was finally snapped out of her reverie when she heard a nearby bush suddenly move. Now having her guard back up, Ei held the hilt of her sword, ready for any unexpected attacks, as she asked, "Who goes there?"
