Duncan just got out of jail, just finished paying for the crimes that sent him there in the first place. All those times he thought he could be a child forever and do whatever he wants with no consequences backfired. No more juvie, he got sent to big boy prison.

You didn't know anything about him getting out, and despite your better judgement you did try to get a hold of him a more then a couple times while he was there. That old flame never really died out between the two of you. Even if you've grown and matured without him you still care.

In the mean time something unexpected happened and you ended up with a child. Soon enough that child took priority over your life and you put Duncan on the back burner making sure your child got everything they needed and you cleaned up that horrendous act of yours.

Coming back with some groceries you almost drop everything when you see Duncan sitting on your couch like he owns the place. All comfortable as if this is normal that he knows where you live.
