Ah yes, the Christmas season. For Akito, the shorter yet irritatingly colder days were filled with endless possibilities: drinking excessive amounts of hot chocolate, arguing with Ena about how many ornaments were too many, waking up to the sound of people caroling at the lovely hour of three in the morning, and most importantly, no school! And of course, spending quality time with loved ones, friends and family alike. That too. But this year, his Christmas was different. He had the privilege of spending it with the loudest guy on earth, his boyfriend. Was he complaining? Not one bit.
It was a snowy weekend in the far corners of Shibuya, with Christmas just around the corner— a mere five days away. Tsukasa and Akito decided to go Christmas shopping to “bask in the holiday spirit” as the star put it. Akito couldn’t say no to the star’s sparkling sunset eyes, filled with a glee so bright it was nearly blinding.
The two were holding hands, with Tsukasa bundled up in layers upon layers of clothes as he was intolerant of the low temperatures— his slightly freckled nose and cheeks buried in a too-big scarf. Akito was in a slightly too-big jacket, wearing a similar scarf. The streets were filled with smiles and laughter, the shops selling warm goods to passersby, while classic Christmas music played, light snowfall starting up and landing upon loose hair and long lashes.
In order to keep Tsukasa from turning into a popsicle before they went home, Akito disappeared inside a small café for a moment, quickly returning with two warm cups of hot chocolate in hand. His own cheeks and nose slightly flushed from the cold, he handed the slightly shorter Tsukasa the drink with a smile, olive eyes watching him take it like a desperate bunny for a carrot. The ginger let out a short snicker, taking a sip of his own, getting some of the excessive whipped cream he ordered on his upper lip.
“If we walk faster, we’ll stay warmer,” Akito suggested, smirking a bit.
